Pondicherry ::
French dreams of an Indian Empire began
and ended in Pondicherry. But in the scattered territories
of the Union Territory of Pondicherry there remains
what little there is left of the French influence in
India and that makes the territory, especially its headquarters,
Pondicherry, unique, something quite different from
the rest of India.
The Union Territory of Pondicherry comprises of 4 coastal
regions viz- Pondicherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam .
Pondicherry and Karaikal are situated on the East Coasts
in Tamil Nadu, Yanam in Andra Pradesh and Mahe on the
West Coast in Kerala. . |

It comes as no surprise that Manali is
called the Valley of the Gods. Enthroned in the lap

soft gold . At night the moon sweeps through the air
like a silver floodlight from a star-studded sky. And
throughout the Manali valley, terraced rice fields give
way to fruit-filled orchards, and forests of pine nudge
the edges of the dazzling mountain lakes.

Jaisalmer ::
Centuries ago, Jaisalmer was on the camel
trade to route between India and Central Asia . It is
a city that rises from the desert like a golden mirage
. Dominating the view is the awesome citadel on the
hill - a fort built with the golden yellow stone of
the area. Jaisalmer is visual delight. Wander through
its lanes and discover the 'havelis' with delicately
carved stone facades. |

The capital of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla is probably
the closest thing in India to Aspen . It was used as

there is an exciting ride up the hills on a toy-train

all the natural bounties which one can think of.
It has got a scenic location, it is surrounded by green

hill stations. |
